On Thursday, the states were told by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) to focus their attention on the five-pronged approach of test, track, treat, immunization, and Covid-appropriate behaviour to combat the surging cases. 

According to the notification sent to the state health department, practise drills should be conducted to observe the COVID-19 preparations. The notice further announced that the nation has administered more than 220.65 crore vaccination doses overall. In addition, there is no evidence that hospitalization rates are rising.

The ministry asked that everyone make sure that all medical facilities have access to the necessary COVID-19 and flu medications and supplies, as well as enough designated beds and medical personnel.
